I’ve always had an interest in photography. There is just an artistry to capturing the perfect moment in time. Ever since I got my first 110 Kodak Pocket Camera, I pictured myself as a great photographer, taking the most incredible pictures. My imagination was far better than reality. When it comes to photography, I am definitely NOT an artist!

As part of my wellness evolution, I’ve promised myself that I will spend more time focusing on how I feel emotionally, not just how healthy my body is. It is easy to focus on how many steps I take in a day, what kind of exercise I’m doing, how many calories I eat, and if I’m eating the right foods.

When I was a kid, my family kept our trips pretty simple. We often spent long weekends tent camping at a nearby lake. My dad had a yellow speedboat that we always took with us. I enjoyed when he would drive us around the lake, but frankly, I was NOT an outdoorsy child. I appreciate nature much more now.
