Welcome Back! I hope you are having a wonderful summer. I’ll be honest, it’s been difficult getting back into things. Luckily, I was working on a lot of content before leaving on my Alaskan vacation. I had an amazing time with my family and my bestie. This was a bucket list vacation for all of us, so it was exciting to check something off our list. I can’t wait to share more with you about my adventures in future posts.
Taking Time to Recharge
Stepping away for a break allowed me to spend time reflecting on the blog, where I have been on this journey, what I have accomplished, and how I want to finish out the year. I have enjoyed sharing my crazy, random musings with all of you and can’t wait to share more. My mind is always a constant jumble of thoughts; sometimes I am just busting at the seams to get them on the page, and other times I struggle to figure out what I want to say. Hello, neurodivergent brain!
Oh, That Neurodivergent Brain!
That brain certainly got the better of me when I was trying to launch this entire thing. It is why I got such a late start in January. There were website learning curves and challenges, which I am still working on. I have also had issues with social media. I am the first to admit that I am not savvy when it comes to “the socials,” and it is something I am still learning. But as I have said since the beginning… “We learn as we go.” It’s never going to be perfect, but that’s not what we are aiming for. As long as I am progressing and moving forward, I am winning!
Focusing on the Successes

The first half of the year is a success! I launched a blog sharing my journey from project manager to blogger. I started a new series called “Happy Morsels,” and have a ton of new recipes to share with you in the future. I’ve been a baking fiend this summer.
I started the Musings in Motion and a new walking challenge that should be complete by the time of this blog post. You can see more on our Mississippi Walking Challenge later this week in my monthly wrap up. If you missed any of the journey, you can find it here.
I also started posting about my random travels and shared my recent cruising experience with Disney (see more here). I’ve also worked on my photography skills, which I hope are evident in my pictures, and have plenty of photo albums to share with all of you. I took close to 5000 photos for the trip. I won’t share all of them 😀
On the Horizon

So, what’s next? What will the rest of the year look like? For starters, I plan on introducing a new monthly Thursday series. I am saying that out loud to keep myself accountable. I want to continue to challenge myself, and that is what this series is all about. Producing more content and taking myself outside of my comfort zone to do it.
There is a ton of content from my recent Alaskan adventures, and I hope you will join me as I recount the journey. I am really excited to share all of it with you.

I also have a really big walking challenge on the horizon that I hope you will all join me on. Since I have started my “Happy Morsels” series (I promise to share more recipes soon), I have been thinking about a “Healthy-ish” series because life is about balance. I can cook too 😉 Lastly, because life isn’t complicated enough, I am going to do a holiday baking challenge where I share weekly recipes for “Happy Morsels” as well as a weekly Thursday challenge which will be part of my new series.

Goal Setting
I am also setting some new goals for the second half of the year. I am going to continue working on removing all the bugs from the website, or at least all the ones that currently exist. New ones pop up every day, ugh! I will also work on my social media presence. Any of my marketing friends who want to share tips and tricks, I will gladly accept them. I also want to increase my social media followers, which I will need your help with. Please share my posts and encourage your friends to follow.
I Need Your Help
Unfortunately, I did not reach my goal of 50 followers by the time of this post, so I am most definitely going to be working on getting more subscribers and hope to reach 100 by year’s end. If you want to help a gal out, you can subscribe here or share this link with friends.
Thank You!
Thank you all for being here. I knew this was going to be a rough road, but I appreciate your continued support as I march on in this blogging adventure. I am so excited for the second half and seeing what the rest of the year brings.
